A Synopsis and Pictures, Pictures, Pictures

It's been a while since I've really updated the blog... I don't have the time to write the long post I would like, so I will just write a synopsis and post a lot of pictures. ;)

The last couple months have been pretty busy for us. For those of you who might've missed it we moved August 23rd! Yes, we are still in Houston, but the Lord provided us with an opportunity to move closer to our church!!! This move cut our drive time down by half! We are so thankful!!! With this move we also get to fulfill a desire of my heart that I've had for a while... to get to host our home group in our home... starting next week!!!

Trying to give Mommy a heart attack

Daniel was the Civil Engineer for the new University of Houston stadium, so we had the chance to go to the first game.

So the last couple months have been a process of packing, unpacking, organizing and trying to fix up our old house to get a renter in. which brings me to a new experience I got in this  past Saturday... I helped fix the roof at our old house! Daniel and his brother Thomas had been working on it most of Saturday afternoon, but wasn't quiet finished when Thomas had to leave. So, I to try my hand at it. I really didn't do that much, but it was fun to get to work on the house with my husband.

Thank you Thomas, for all your help!

My first time on a roof

Saturday was busy not only fixing up the old house, but Daniel ran the Every Village 5K (run for radios). Our pastor is the Executive Director of Every Village, which is a mission to South Sudan. So, there were a lot of our church family up there too. We took Shelden and Jenae with us, while my parents stayed with Ian since we had to leave at 6:30am. The kids had fun cheering Daddy on, playing in bounce houses, seeing the Chick-fil-a cows, face painting and just having a blast over all...

The Lord blessed Sunday afternoon and I once again got to paint my kiddos shirts for going to the pumpkin patch, so if I have already board you with pictures stay tuned :)

Jewelry in Candles!!!

Have you ever heard of jewelry and candles??? I hadn't until the other day, but they sound so much fun!!! They are candles with hidden jewelry inside! "There's jewelry and other prizes hidden inside every jewelry candle and scented product. Our candles contain a hidden surprise sealed inside a piece of foil that is unnoticeable until after the first lighting. After a short time of burning the candle, you can easily remove your treasure and unwrap the surprise!.. The jewelry found in our candles ranges in value from ten dollars to several thousand dollars."  You even get to pick what jewelry you want sent and can even choose the ring size you want. I think they would make such great gifts! I just joined yesterday, because right now it is free!!!  Sign up remains free until this Friday June 13th! There's no monthly quota, no minimum purchase, no fees of any kind and you get 30% off their products! Seriously, I did not have to buy or pay a thing to sign up! If you want to check it out here is my store

PastTense

This week I became a dōTERRA consultant, my kit came in yesterday and I was so excited!
This morning I woke with my neck "out". I took a Tylenol, but it just wasn't working. I could feel my neck getting tighter and tighter and the pain escalating quickly. I have neck problems that usually once it starts bothering me cause a long lasting headache that gets progressively worse and last for several days, making it hard to even move. I feel like I live on Tylenol bring this times just to try to get the pain manageable and I hate it.  I decided to try the "PastTense" that came in my kit. It is a roll on blend that you rub along your temples and back of neck. I couldn't believe how quickly I began to feel relief, and within an hour's time the pain was completely gone. Though I know how good essential oils are and have seen their benefits I was surprise at how quickly I got relief.

Jenae's 2nd birthday

So, even if I am over a month late. I still wanted to post a few pics from Jenae's 2nd birthday. We had a party for her on the Saturday before her birthday, it was small, but I believe she felt celebrated.

On her actual birthday we took cupcakes to our home group fellowship to celebrate with them.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Jenae!

Starting with their 2nd birthdays, I am trying to do the kids each a slide show of the past year for their special day. So without further ado, here is Jenae's 1st slide show.
